Everywhere I turn, someone is asking for something!

• My family wants more of my time
• A panhandler wants more of my change
• A fund collector is pestering me for my money
• A colleague wants my wisdom and experience

People often say to me, “Azim, everywhere I go, people are asking me for something.  Where is the power of giving you talk about in these situations?” 

I believe when people are asking you for something, you are blessed with the opportunity to give.  During your life, the best joy you will experience will be in giving, not taking.  At the end of your life, what will count is not how much you have, but how much you gave! 

If you find that you do not have money to give or you have given your fill, then give of your time or knowledge or love.  Give something and say thank you for the opportunity.  Hard to understand as a concept but lovely to experience – trust me and try it!
